This morning I came across a fake video for the Apple tablet (posted below). It is incredibly well done, the person who put it together has real talent. While the goal of this video appears to be web traffic, I believe it also represents the ultimate job application. If I was a designer looking to land a position at Apple this is exactly what I would do. What better way to demonstrate your value to a company than broadcasting your vision of their future?
You can do the same in your job search.
With the unemployment rate in double digits competition is fierce right now, but you can stand out. Don’t just submit a resume, get creative and blow your perspective employer away. Create a presentation, make a video or write a white paper on the future of the industry and figure out how to get it in front of the decision maker. Even if your vision is slightly off base it illustrates your passion, commitment and understanding of the company.

Holy moly. That thing is totally awesome. I can see how you would be easily fooled into thinking that was something easily within Apple’s means of making. I mean, it’s as thin as the Macbook Air, so.. Yeah. Someone get on that, I want one. And I don’t even like Macs. Come across anything else like this? Fake technology is the best. Especially when it gets ones hopes up.
Exceptionally Innovative. This is a wonderful display of creativity which is what is required in any job to excel. This will be very useful for upcoming eager young minds to be innovate in their jobs!!

I would say that is too clever thought to give while applying for any of the jobs. I can right away co-relate this to my job and think out of the box with your idea. Sometimes, it do happens we know the things but we are not aware of it unless we are forced to think upon it…
Surely, a good point made by you. There is still a need for creative minds in the market and your creative idea may make some more minds creative for sure..
