This morning I woke up and found myself blessed with super natural powers. Anything I wished for suddenly became a reality. I wished for a coffee… and the lady at Starbucks handed me one. I wished for silence… and my radio broke. I wished for freedom… and looked down to see I wasn’t wearing pants.

Amazing? Yes.

I am pretty much like a genie… but I hope I smell better than a genie because I imagine genies smell pretty bad from being couped in a bottle for so long. Anywho – I want to share my powers with you. Simply leave a comment on this post with your three wishes and I will do my best to grant them.

Before you read this post let me say that I am happily in love with Tara. Sorry ladies… I am taken : ) I am simply trying to help out my single buddies.

Last week I finally got my iPad.

I picked it up from the office Sunday night so I could have it with me on my trip to California. From the second I got it I couldn’t put the thing down. I suddenly needed even more email, more tweets… more web content. I was alone on my trip and had a lot to do so I took it along with me when I went to eat. The first place I went the waitress said “ohhh… is that an iPad?” and proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions about it. I didn’t think much about it until it happened again at a different restaurant the next day. I chuckled and thought to myself it must be a California thing.

Then it happened again.

Yesterday Tara and I went to grab a burrito at Tijuana Flats. I brought my iPad along because we wanted to do some planning together (and Evernote for iPad rocks). The waitress walked up to deliver our food and BAM! “Is that an iPad!?!” — No freaking’ way! I told Tara what had happened earlier in the week. Who knew that the ladies would be so amazed by a little computer. It is the ultimate conversation starter.

Single guys do all sorts of stupid things to meet girls. We all know the puppy trick… but that is so 2009. If you are a bachelor and really want to meet girls I say get yourself an iPad. I am going to have to hide mine so I don’t feel awkward.

Do You Doodle Jump?

I have an XBox and a Wii but both rarely get used. I generally don’t have the time to play video games at home. On the rare occasion that I do play I feel guilty that I am not outside or doing something more productive with my life. I am afraid that console games are a thing of the past for me.

However, iPhone games are another story. They are perfect time fillers when I am stuck in line or winding down in bed. Doodle Jump is one of my favorite games because the sessions are quick, fun and completely mindless. The game is constantly being updated with new themes and you can tell the developers are having fun with it. If you aren’t one of the 3 million people who have already downloaded the game I highly suggest you give it a try, it is well worth the $.99 price tag.

Today is My Birthday!

Today is off to an awesome start! I got in a 6 mile run. Tara hooked me up with a new set of luggage. My IZEA peeps trashed my desk. I did an television interview. My article in Fast Company came out (thank you @LydiaBreakfast and @ChrisBrogan)… and it isn’t even 10am yet.

All was going great…. until my brother sent me this video to remind me what he made for me last year. Update : the video he sent me has been taken offline : (

PepsiCo Innovation Day : Fun

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to attend PepsiCo Innovation Day thanks to Stephanie Agresta of Porter Novelli and Bonin Bough of Pepsi. They bused a group of bloggers and new media types up to Pepsi headquarters in Purchase, NY for a day of learning, sharing and fun. I am going to break up the experience into a series of posts, starting with the fun.

Making My Own Soda

In the interest of dislcosure I want to share that PepsiCo provided me with lunch, Pepsi swag and the most soda I have ever had in a single day.

Manta at SeaWorld Rocks

For the past few months I have been collaborating with SeaWorld on their social media outreach program. A large amount of our efforts have been focused on Manta, a new mega attraction that officially opens tomorrow. Today I rode it for the first time and I have to say I was really impressed. The coaster is unlike anything I have ever been on… it had me screaming like a little school girl (see video evidence).

I brought Janice Croze, Gwen Bell, Arianne Segerman, Tara Kuczykowski, Lori Falcon, Katja Presnal, Steve Spalding, Audrey McClellan, Alex Schek and Julia Allison along for the experience. They are a great group of bloggers and we had an absolute blast together. SeaWorld had Manta specially rigged with video and still cameras for our ride. All of us got to walk away from Manta with flash cards containing high res photos and video of our rides. Sorry I didn’t stick my tongue out in the picture below, I obviously wasn’t thinking straight.

If you want to ride Manta FOR FREE all you have to do is register for IZEAFEST. Every person that registers gets a free ticket to SeaWorld for the blogger takeover on Sunday.

My friend and IZEA Insider Heather from Beautiful BC was the first person to post a picture with my head. That’s quite fitting as she is the leader of SocialSpark crew called the TedHeads. It appears that I went to Yoga in Canada today! Awesome… I haven’t been for about 6 months and need to get back in the habit.
